Gin Sours are probably one of the easiest to make and still look like the most complicated. I love this gin sour with JVS gin because the basil really supports the gentle herbal flavours of Rosemary and Lemon Thyme in the gin.
What's Up Basil
This recipe makes enough for two, if you want to share. But if you just want to get a really big glass and keep it all to yourself, we can't blame you for that!
80 ml JVS Gin
40 ml Lime Juice - Keep it fresh if you can!
20 ml Green Chartreuse
20 Basil leaves fresh
20 ml Sugar syrup
1 Egg white
In a cocktail jug, add the JVS Gin, the Green
Chartreuse, the basil leaves, lime juice and simple
syrup; muddle well!
Strain into your cocktail shaker and add the white
of a small egg; shake
Then add ice and shake again; vigorously!
Strain into your serving glasses
Add a slice of lime and a sprig of basil
And you are good to sip! Cheers!
