I love the use of Tarragon in this recipe as it adds some extra depth to the Rose Finch Gin. And the addition of bitters just adds a special touch with some extra floral notes. Pimped up gin and tonic at its best!
The Rose & The Dragon
Pimped up Gin & Tonic
No, there were no dragons harmed in the making of this Gin & Tonic. Fun fact, tarragon in dutch is dragon... hence the name.. I thought I was being clever!
50 ml of Rose Finch Gin
Sprigs of fresh tarragon
Rose Petals to garnish
A dash of floral bitters
In a cocktail shaker, add ice and half the tarragon
Add in the Rose Finch Gin and give the shaker a gentle shake; not too vigorous!
Add ice into your G & T glass and strain the liquid in
Top up with Rose Lemonade to your desired level
Add two to three drops of floral bitters
Garnish with remaining fresh tarragon and add in a few of rose petals for final florish!
The Rose lemonade that I am using is from Fentimans, other roe lemonade is available, but I like this one as it is not too sweet.
