The thing about gin is that its only when you open the bottle do you really get a sense of what joys may be lying within. In a society that gets lured in by sight, taste, smell and sound, how do you get the sensory anticipation with a clear liquid, that makes no noise and has no smell until you open the bottle?
The answer of course is with the label. Driftwood has gone with a slightly different approach with the labels on our gin brands. Had you noticed? But each label has been designed with care, with a story behind it and even the way that the characters are dressed say something about its origin and the statement we are trying to make.
So when we agreed to partner up to do the Leiden Art and Aperitief week and were asked to “present” on Sunday afternoon in the little artist’s studio/gallery that is Marktsteeg it seemed like the perfect opportunity to explain our concepts with a gin in hand!
